Luminaries

Our neighborhood had our annual Luminaries/Christmas Party on what might have been the coldest night of 2010. We bundled up and headed out for a hayride and a visit with Santa. I didn't snap as many pictures as I typically would have, mainly because I didn't want to take my gloves off and risk frostbite.

Mason didn't hesitate in climbing onto Santa's lap and promptly told him that he wants a guitar for Christmas. This has been his go-to Christmas gift request ever since we visited a Cracker Barrel on our way to Kentucky, where he found a guitar that Bebe told him she would get him for Christmas. Roper, on the other hand, only stayed in Santa's lap long enough for me to snap a picture.

We made it back to the warmth of our home...here is our attempt at getting a group shot of the children. :)

I heart Christmas ornaments...I love to collect them from different places we've visited.

Easier Said than Done

Goodness...it is hard to get a suitable Christmas card picture of two little boys!!! Every time I attempt to get a picture of my boys together, both smiling (or at least with no fingers up noses), I find a new respect for the professionals.

Tough Game, Great Season

Since Carolina made it to their first SEC Championship game EVER, Graem and I decided that we needed to be there!!! We had a fantastic time. The tailgating was so much fun!



We met Cocky's mini-me...


And the Georgia Dome was right behind our tailgating spot.


I learned that watching a football game indoors isn't nearly as strange as I thought it would be.






The game itself was nothing short of painful. Our fans were so hyped up and of course we had high hopes for a big victory. Those hopes were completely dashed as we were outplayed by a better team that gave me a refresher course on my 7's multiplication tables. It was a huge disappointment. The good thing is that we are Gamecocks...we know how to handle defeat...hopefully we'll be back in Atlanta next year!

I'll close in saying that Cam Newton is an amazingly talented athlete and will certainly be a millionaire one day. For his own father to jeopardize his career is completely stupid and blatantly greedy. But...the NCAA has not asked for my opinion so I won't go any further.

Baby Margaret's Baptism

Baby Margaret was baptized Sunday. She is such a sweetheart...she slept through most of the service, aside from the startling awakening when the water was sprinkled on her head. Then she went right back to sleep, much like she is doing in the picture below!



Aunt Beth got the family christening gown all pressed and ready for the 16th covenant child in our family to wear. Everyone that has worn it {except for Aunt Ruth} is in the picture above.

After church we headed over to Lee and Alice's Robert's house (at least according to Mason it is Robert's house) for a delicious lunch and fellowship with family and friends.
