Last week my cousin Kate suggested that we take the boys to see the lights at the zoo...she is so sweet...how many college students choose to spend a Friday night with their little cousins? Then she offered to watch them Saturday morning while I got some Christmas shopping done and Graem hunted. Yeah, she is pretty great. (Thanks, Kate!)
Two monkeys + a goat:
Happy stinker...
They had a snow machine at the zoo entrance...M&R were pretty fascinated with the snow...
These pictures are well over a month old, but they are too cute not to share.
Mason LOVES strawberries. If you ask him what his favorite food is, he will usually tell you strawberries and bacon and chicken wings.
Back during the week of spring break from preschool we met our friends the Parnells for picking strawberries. Duncan was with us too but he was in the baby Bjorn...kind of hard to get a picture of him while I was carrying him!
Sampling the berries for quality control...
The boys always end up with red goatees by the end of a trip to the strawberry patch!
A few weeks ago we spent the morning at Fox's Farm with a group of friends. The boys just eat up this type of thing...hayride, animals, searching for pumpkins in a haystack, what more could you ask for??
Please excuse the quality of my pictures...sometimes the thought of toting my big camera around while keeping up with both boys is exhausting, so I have become increasingly dependent on my iPhone camera.
Here is Mason, our chicken-loving boy, being introduced to a Chinese Chicken.
This sweet little donkey got lots of love from the Clark boys.
Until a few years ago I had little to no interest in the fair. I was kind of a snob about it -- the people seemed strange, the food was greasy, the rides didn't seem safe, and the whole thing was kind of dirty. Then my friend Tara introduced me to Pronto Pup corn dogs and Fiske fries...and my friend Sally introduced me to the fried mushrooms and lemonade. Sometimes grease is good. :) I've learned that I only like to go to the fair during the daytime and preferrably on a weekday. And now that my children are big enough to go on the rides, it has become something that we anticipate every year!
We actually made 2 fair outings this year...once just me & the boys and the second time my mom and my nephew, Robert, joined us.
These boys love ice cream! And so does baby #3. :)
