Luminaries

We love our neighborhood and one of my favorite things about it is the Luminary Night that we have each year. Everyone participates -- there is rarely a home that neglects to put out luminaries. The homes all look so beautiful and it is a great night for everyone to get to know their neighbors.

There are 3 or 4 "host" homes that serve chili, desserts and hot chocolate and there are hay rides that transport everyone from the host homes to the main attraction -- SANTA! (Except that in Mason's opinion, the main attraction was the tractor pulling the hay ride). Usually Santa flies in on a helicopter that parks at the front of the neighborhood -- unfortunately, the fog was too thick this year so he arrived via fire truck.

The weather definitely made it feel like Christmas...

You must live in a great neighborhood. I looks like so much fun. Wish my neighborhood would do something like that:)
