Easter Sunday was very fulfilling in every sense of the word...food, fellowship, family, and most important, reflecting on the sacrifice that God made for us.
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13
We started the morning with Easter baskets.
Aunt Ruth gave Mason these bunny ears for his first Easter and I pull them back out each year because they are so stinkin cute!
Roper is giving them a thumbs up.
The requisite chocolate bunny...
After church, we headed up to the farm for a delicious lunch at Mama & Daddy's followed by dessert and an Easter egg hunt at Aunt Beth's house. More baskets, courtesy of Bebe...
Easter would not be complete without a few of these:
My sweet nephew, Baby Robert...
Roper is such a snuggly baby...you just can't
help but whisper in his ear...
See,
I told you...
We enjoyed spending time with Gigi...she was feeling good and was having a "good" day for which we were
so grateful.
Mason's favorite treat from his basket was not the chocolate or other candy...it was his
bubbles. The yo-yo was a close second. Bebe helped him with his bubbles.
Group shot of Gigi's great-grandchildren:
Caroline is going to be a great help when her new baby sibling gets here this summer!
Sydney has been trying to teach Roper to crawl...I'm not sure I'm ready for him to be mobile!
